ABOUT HOWARD BROWN
Howard Brown has been involved in the world of creativity since an early age. He recalls his parents cleaning out the garage, and noticed an original oil painting in the trash, waiting to be rescued. That painting, ugly in their eyes, was his first attention to detail and the beginning of his collection of original art.
A passion for traveling abroad, visits to museums, the world of music and viewing architectural and interior designs along with his Creole and African roots stimulated a consciousness and awareness of the world of beauty.
An Art Broker for twenty years, Howard Brown Design Art Group has garnered an impressive group of international artists, photography and sculptures. In 2000, a new venture began after a demand for his expertise in the interior design field. Howard’s vision included real estate staging, space planning and partnerships with custom home builders, developers, architects, landscape artists and numerous project coordinators.
Howard Brown Design provides the finest in timeless and classic design, using innovative technology, textiles and craftsmanship for those who demand meticulous attention and appreciate an eye for detail. Modern, Contemporary and Traditional styles are incorporated into bold statements.
The firm has produced proud marks of excellence and artistry in Dallas, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, and Knoxville. Howard’s client base has grown tremendously over the years to include private residences, offices, and businesses for prominent entertainers, entrepreneurs, religious, and business professionals. His individualized kitchen design for the late Executive Chef Greg Gammage was in the 2004 Special Section of Living Space Magazine. In 2005, the editor highlighted his own private residence in Atlanta, Georgia.
His forthcoming challenges: a coffee table book, “Where the Art of Creating Comes to Life” and a book about the extensive art collection of Civil Rights Leader, U. S. Congressman John Lewis’ are testaments to the scope of his widening talents. His initial thoughts were that his designs would come and go, but the books would last for a lifetime. Other future projects will expand into retail and trade market venues.
Howard lives in Atlanta, Georgia where he spends his spare time riding his 1979 vintage motorcycle and relaxes with his Yorkshire Terrier, Picasso.
